About the Event
The symposium focuses on research in the interdisciplinary field of drugs, carcinogens and pollutants and their effects on humans and in the environment. This is an opportunity for interested undergraduate and graduate students from across British Columbia (and beyond!) to attend, present their research, and network with other students, researchers, or industry members engaged in similar fields. ToxTalks features oral and poster presentations, a keynote speaker, and an evening social event. Whether students are completing undergraduate projects, beginning their graduate studies and looking for feedback on research proposals, are about to graduate, or are simply interested in the growing field of toxicology, this event is tailored for students at every stage in their academic career. We welcome students from a broad range of disciplines, from cellular and molecular scales, to human-population epidemiological studies, to global ecosystem scales, and everything in between. Interested faculty, staff, and other external environmental toxicology and human health professional community members are also invited to meet and chat with students, and to learn about graduate research happening in this part of the world.
